Save or replace
As part of our renovation service, and to ensure that we minimize our environmental impact, we do not replace glazing unless there are any breaks or cracks. Any sash windows that may require new glazing, and fall below 800mm from the floor level, will have to be replaced with toughened safety glass to meet Health & Safety Regulations.
Puttying new glazing
If your glazing is replaced we’ll use putty to hold it in place, depending on the weather conditions, it can take up to six weeks to cure and to be ready for painting. When painting any exposed putty, please ensure you paint over the putty and onto the glazing by 2mm in order to create a seal against the weather.
